Contest Information
About History Day
History Day is a program where 6-12 grade students choose a topic and dive deeply into the past by conducting extensive research. They then present their conclusions and evidence through papers, exhibits, performances, documentaries, or websites. Students can compete in a competition communicating their research to others. History Day competittions are held on a school, county, state, and national level. Through this process, students develop skills in communication, project management, and historical thinking.
PGCPS teachers looking for more instructional resources should contact the coordinators for access to the History Day Canvas. History Day is judged by educators, community members, and community partners. Please click the judge's tab to learn more about volunteering to judge.
