Digging In: How to Conduct Research

Putting it Together: Creating an Entry

History Day projects can developed in any of five formats; Documentaries, Exhibits, Performances, and Websites can be done as with a group or as an indivudual while Research Papers can only be written as an individual. When deciding which format to use, be sure to consider how best to maximize your talent and also the format that will compliment your topic best.

Do you have a passion for audiovisual production? If you, consider building an Historical Documentary for your HD project.

*Procedures are the same for our local contest*

While most judges include humanities scholars, teachers, librarians, and museum professionals, anyone who wants to support students in this exciting learning experience may judge. You can play an important role by volunteering as a History Day judge – reviewing student projects, interviewing contestants, selecting the winners to advance to the national contest, and providing constructive feedback.
